A New Landscape

rvss.eel Calm, meditative, ambient soundscapes. Prominent beats. The purpose of seeking out each of these listening experiences seems, and most often is, wildly contrasting. And yet when juxtaposed successfully, as with A New Landscape, a new soundscape is formed, and perhaps new listening intentions. I refer to this as "ambient with beats" (I'm simple) and my list of such artists I'd recommend consisted only of One Arc Degree. Now I add Lav to the list. Favorite track: Human Disturbances.

We are excited to announce our next release titled, ‘A New Landscape’ by Lav- his debut long play on PITP. The man behind the machines is Christopher Landin, sound artist and photographer hailing from Karlskrona, Sweden. While embracing flourishes of electronic melancholia, Lav showcases his affinity for harmonizing nature imagery and natural sound in his arrangements.

‘A New Landscape’ is wonderfully atmospheric, sonically detailed and ultimately an ear-pleasing affair. This collection of arrangements reveal buoyant electronic soundscapes with a touch of bittersweet melodies.
